This is the second full length album that is sung completely in English by these French purveyors of metalrock! They have a couple earlier albums that are mostly in French as well, so there is no doubt the band has some experience under their belts. In fact they were around for a portion of the 80s before disappearing and making the obligatory return a handful of years ago. The music really treads the line between metal and hard rock, with lots of shouted gang vocals, anthemic subject matter and some really nice crunch riffs. The vocals have a bit of an accent to them, but are very understandable and they really do a good job mixing in with the music here. This isn’t the heaviest album to be released by any means, but it is solidly consistent with enough heaviness to be metal! The band is quite well known for their excellent live show, bringing forth lots of energy on stage and honestly the music on the CD is written in such a way that it almost seems to be focused for a live play. I wouldn’t call it simplistic, but it isn’t exactly ground breaking in its technical aspects either. They really come across more of a rock your socks off on the stage and have a great time more than trying to be studio virtuosos! Either way the music is lots of fun, full of energy and definitely gets the head bopping. I would say the album is quite explosive!
