Third album from Italy’s power metal bangers, Steel Raiser and it’s more of what you would expect from this force. The vocals are a bit hard to discern at times, and the lyrics can get pretty cheesy (but this is power metal, so you sort of expect that, though it sticks out more with the sometimes questionable English translation). The music is pretty solid overall, though there are some rough spots where it seems the band wasn’t quite sure where to go directionwise. Other than these few bumps, this is really a solid release and has quite a few metal memories to be shared. The guitars in particular are the standouts here as the riffs are nice and chunky and they really help squash the little nuances that I mentioned above and can really get your head bobbing and your feet moving, which of course is a key ingredient to making this a listenable album. Unstoppable, maybe not, but at the very least you may want to slow down a bit and check this out!
